I adore eco-friendly crafts that concede me to up-cycle objects that would routinely go in a trash. A few weeks ago, we remade a used matzah box into a scrapbook album. That plan was so renouned that this week, we am branch aged cereal boxes into design frames. In fact, we can use all forms of boxes — Girl Scout Cookie boxes, dog biscuit boxes, antiseptic boxes — and this is a fun plan for a kids, too!

What you’ll need:

  • Empty cereal box
  • Wrapping paper
  • Scissors
  • X-Acto Knife
  • Straight edge
  • Spray glue or glue stick
  • Hot glue gun
  • Embellishments

Step 1

Cut a box so it lies flat, and afterwards cut a finish flaps. If a box is large, spin it horizontally and cut it in half to make dual frames.

Step 2

Apply mist glue to a plain side of a box and belong a block of jacket paper to it. Spray glue spreads an even cloaking of glue, though it is disorderly and needs to be practical in a well-ventilated space. A glue hang is a good alternative, generally if you’re doing this plan with kids.

Step 3

Using an X-Acto Knife and true edge, trim a additional paper along with any edges of a cereal box that might have been cut unevenly with a scissors. Be clever when regulating a knife, and keep it divided from children. Then cut a block or rectilinear hole on one side, where a imitation will be inserted.

Step 4

Apply prohibited glue to a finish strap and overlay it over one side to arrange a frame, with a jacket paper on a outside. The finished product will be a three-sided, easel-style frame. Add embellishments such as ribbon, buttons and attracts to a front regulating a prohibited glue gun. When you’re done, fasten a imitation onto a behind of a front panel, where a opening is.
