LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Latest on a midair collision between dual tiny planes (all times local):

Authorities have called off a hunt for probable survivors of a midair collision that sent during slightest one craft plunging into a sea nearby a Port of Los Angeles.

The Coast Guard announced Saturday morning that it had dangling active hunt efforts in a 200-square-mile area where divers found disadvantage Friday.


Instead, a hunt for 3 blank people is now being called a liberation operation — definition a hunt for bodies and some-more wreckage.

Authorities contend dual men, ages 61 and 81, were aboard a craft that radar showed colliding Friday afternoon with an aircraft piloted by a 72-year-old woman.

Wreckage and a logbook from one craft was found and a other is missing.
