Photo frames inspire visitors to ‘Share a View’ from 9 Will County timberland preserves

The Forest Preserve District of Will County wants we to “Share a View” during preserves that will shortly underline jumbo-size print frames.

The 4-by-6 feet woodsy frames – that are ornate with a District’s mascot, Willy a Woodchuck – are popping adult this month during scenic spots located around a District. Participants are being speedy to take photos with a frames and post a shots to amicable media.

Once we have a ideal perspective or pose, post a photos to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Tag a Forest Preserve District in a posts with @willcoforests and use a hashtag #sharetheview so we see a posts. Once a month we will incidentally name a member to accept an insulated follower bag as a prize.

The frames started going adult in early May and will sojourn in a preserves by November, so there is copiousness of time to get photos during a changing seasons.

“The purpose of a ‘Share a View’ module is to yield a new and fun approach for a open to record their practice in a Will County timberland safety and to share a beauty of a preserves with family and friends,” pronounced Ralph Schultz, a District’s arch handling officer.

The frames are located during these preserves: Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve, Hammel Woods – Route 59 Access, Hickory Creek Preserve – Hickory Creek Junction, Isle a la Cache, Kankakee Sands Preserve, McKinley Woods – Kerry Sheridan Grove, Messenger Woods Nature Preserve, Monee Reservoir and Whalon Lake.

The “Share a View” module is sponsored by The Nature Foundation of Will County.

Preserve a Moment Photo Contest underway

The Forest Preserve District of Will County’s 2018 Preserve a Moment print competition began May 1 and runs by Dec 31. This year, a prizes will be bigger interjection to sponsorship from The Nature Foundation of Will County. First place will accept a $500, second place $250 and third place $150.

Participants should upload their photos monthly. A leader will be selected any month by a row of judges. At a finish of a contest, all 8 monthly finalists will be entered into a altogether contest, that will be judged by online voting around a District’s Facebook page, Facebook.com/WillCoForests.

The competition is for pledge photographers age 18 and older. Additional competition sum and a finish set of manners and prizes will be posted May 1 on a District’s website, ReconnectWithNature.org.
